At Pioneer Science Olympiad, we try to expose as many high schoolers as possible to several exciting fields of science, and attempt to instill in them a love of scientific pursuit and an appreciation for scientific collaberation. In preparation for Science Olympiad's annual competition, groups of students meet weekly under the direction of a senior member to learn about a specific area of science.
Not only do we provide additional science education for interested students, but we do it in a fun way. Members can choose to participate in several of 23 events based on their areas of interest. In some events students build devices to compete at competitions, in others they analyze substances or perform labs at the competition, and others offer even more variety.
